Last night our Rotary Club was able to give out five $1,000 scholarships to Roxbury HS seniors Jackie Grady, Julia Mayor, Kaylee Chau, Kryssa Bijelic and Caitlin Caccavella. These young ladies are rock stars and so deserving of this money for time they spent volunteering to help our community. We would also like to thank the Rotary Club of Lake Hopatcong for being at our senior awards and handing out six $1,000 scholarships to deserving seniors.
Today at LaStrada all three levels of Rotary met for lunch to end our amazing year. The 4th graders from Franklin Early Act came and ran the first part of our meeting and they were amazing. Next we heard from the HS Interact officers about everything they accomplished this year. We also have Early Act Clubs In the three otherElementary schools In town. Your children are amazing human beings and we are better as a community because of them.
Thank you Rotary for my Interact Club experience:
This is my last post for Rotary and as the Vice President of Interact Club. Being in this club has taught me the importance of helping others and being kind. Over the last four years, I have been able to become closer to my community. I am forever grateful for the opportunities that this club and its members have granted me.
What a day! Today we were able to raise $20,000 for Kayla and none of this would’ve been possible without the support from the community. We want to thank every single person who helped organize this event or participated. We also want to thank Fullerton grounds maintenance, PJ’s auto body, Kingstown/truck stop, Tom Smith & Family, Oster Investigation, Jersey Mikes, Cliffs Ice Cream, the Roxbury Rotary Club, and Valley Pharmacy & Surgical Supply Center for sponsoring this years color run.
